In 2015 figures were released which showed that Italy’s gender pay gap is increasing, with women on average earning 7.3 percent less than men and rarely making it into managerial positions. The pay gap in Italy has increased by 2.4 percent in five years, up from 4.9 percent in 2008, EU statistics agency Eurostat said on Thursday.
