Italy Alive (Italia Viva) is a centrist political party in Italy, founded by Matteo Renzi in September 2019. The party emerged from a split within the Democratic Party (Partito Democratico, PD), with Renzi, a former Prime Minister of Italy and a former leader of the PD, aiming to establish a new political force that would advocate for liberal, progressive, and reformist policies.
