We should not force equality. Just ensure that man and woman are paid equally for equal qualifications. This is something that is hard to legislate (as is the race pay-gap) because of variables like education, experience, and tenure. However, incentivizing businesses to publish salary ranges publicly and explicitly name "qualifications" to address these gaps is something we as a society should do (and the federal govt could reinforce).
